Luminous dots are scattered across a dark screen. They look almost symmetrical, almost patterned but the axis that connects them is hidden. Your visual instinct whispers where it is before your conscious mind catches up.
One swipe. You draw a line across the field, a stitch. Partner dots on either side pull inward, meet at the seam, and burst into light and sound. Each reunion sings a consonant interval. Together, they build a chord. A perfect stitch produces a blazing seam of light and a full, warm harmony. An imperfect one still glows it's just incomplete.
There is no failure in Manifold. A partial stitch still creates something beautiful. The motivation to try again comes not from a score, but from wanting to hear the full chord and see the unbroken seam.
Every field is procedurally generated infinite puzzles, no two alike. The audio is synthesized in real time using just intonation, where every interval is a pure harmonic ratio. With scales that ensure dissonance is structurally impossible. The difficulty adapts silently to your skill: early fields are gentle, later ones hide their symmetry behind angled axes, size variation, and subtle misdirection.
