CDL Prep is built for one thing: helping you pass the written CDL knowledge test in your state. Every question is written from the official public handbooks — the FMCSA federal manual and each state's commercial driver handbook PDF — with the page cited so you can open the source and check us.
Most practice apps give everyone the same national question bank. But the CDL knowledge test is administered by your state, and states differ. In California, any vehicle towing a trailer is held to 55 mph — a generic national app will teach you the answer that fails you at the counter.
So we read all fifty official state handbooks. States with rules of their own get questions written from them and cited to the page. Where a state publishes the federal manual unchanged, the federal bank covers their test in full — and we say so rather than pretending otherwise.
