A steam powered robot wakes up to a world on the edge of ruin. The infamous Kid Scientist has shattered the eco-stability of the planet in his quest for ever greater power sources. You are Stretch the steam-powered StretchBot in this platformer adventure who was left for dead in a toxic junkyard full of unfriendly baddies and obsolete robot parts. As you fight your way to safety and freedom during a troubled and tumultuous time you find and befriend a group of retro enviro-hackers trying to stop Kid Scientist and save the planet. Are you too late? Can just one StretchBot really save the planet? It's time to help this robot start his adventure..

Ratings and reviews

The game has a bug that has made it impossible to play. For some reason the joystick will just disappear making impossible to move. For example, in the first level you'll be playing as usual and then all of a sudden the joystick will disappear and refuse to reappear no matter how many times you try to hold and swipe to "spawn a joystick" as the game puts it. Edit: after reading through the reviews it seems that a lot have already mentioned this bug. I'm uninstalling until further notice.

The art and story are wonderful, but there are a few things that make the game very frustrating: 1) The buttons for movement and jump are hard-coded and cannot be moved elsewhere/customized. 2) Everytime you lose, the level starts at the beginning, even with the concept of 3 hearts. Having checkpoints would be good in a game like this. 3) The instructions to defeat the drone enemy did not really work in the game :/

Not a bad little platformer. Note to the developer/s: The left button is way to close to the edge of the screen.......So both the left and right direction buttons need to be shifted to the right by at least a centremeter.
