About this app

Advent Praise puts Christ In Song in your pocket in English, Chichewa, Tswana, Xhosa, Sotho, Shona, Venda, Zulu and Ndebele, together with the SDA Hymnal (1985). Every hymnal is free, there are no ads, and there is no account to sign up for.

FIND A HYMN IN SECONDS
Type its number on the large number pad and the title appears before you tap Go. Or search by the words you remember: search covers numbers, titles and lyrics, and ignores accents, capitals and apostrophes.

THE SDA HYMNAL (1985)
All 695 hymns of the SDA Hymnal sit beside Christ In Song as their own option, with their own numbering. Switch between them and Advent Praise keeps you on the same hymn wherever the two books share it.

READ IT YOUR WAY
• Five reading themes: Paper, Parchment, Sepia, Muted and Black
• Serif or sans-serif text, with adjustable size, spacing and alignment
• Large print for easier reading
• The chorus after every verse, if you like
• Swipe for the next or previous hymn, and tap to hide everything but the words

CHURCH MODE
Show one verse at a time in large, bright text, sized to fill the screen, so the whole congregation can follow. The chorus comes back after every verse, and at the last verse you can go straight to the next hymn. The screen stays awake for the whole service.

PLAN THE SERVICE
• Favourites for each hymnal
• Playlists, kept between launches, so you can prepare the order of service ahead of time
• Service plans and themed collections
• Recent hymns, one tap away
• Hymn of the Day and Church Remote widgets for your Home screen

ABOUT THE HYMNS
Advent Praise does not own the hymns it displays. Most hymn texts, tunes and sheet music in the app are in the public domain; some remain the property of their authors, composers and publishers, and are credited where known. Advent Praise Pro pays for the app's features and services, not for the hymns: it is not a purchase of, or licence to, any hymn, text, tune, recording or score. Rights holders can contact [e-mail].

PRIVACY
Advent Praise collects only anonymous usage statistics, which you can turn off in More, and what Google Play needs to restore your purchases. None of it is linked to you.
