Dead Last is a one-thumb endless runner. Your operator sprints down a zombie city corridor and fires straight ahead. The only thing you do is drag left or right to change lanes — and that is the whole game, because every lane holds either a threat or a reward.
SHOOT THE THREAT, OR SHOOT THE REWARD
Zombies come down one lane. Supply crates come down another. Your bullets go where you are pointed. Every second is the same question asked a new way.
THERE IS NO HEALTH BAR
Anything you fail to kill slips past you and joins the horde trailing behind your heels. It grows. It gets louder. It closes on you all by itself, faster the bigger it gets. Run out of road and it takes you.
CRATES ARE A READ, NOT A FREEBIE
Touch a crate and you get the small prize. Shoot it first and you charge it — half charge pays more, a full charge pays most. Some crates are zombies wearing a crate. There is a tell. It is the same tell every time. Learn it.
THE ROAD OPENS UP
Two lanes become three, then four, then six. Free survivors to run at your shoulder and add their guns. Call in an escort to cover a lane you cannot. Use your flare when the horde gets too close, and buy yourself a breath.
