This should be the easiest ecosystem to recommend, sadly it's not. The suite of tools is genuinely amazing. The problem is that the app suddenly stopped working for any of our musicians ruining Android 13. If the app wasn't labeled as being compatible with Android, I wouldn't care, if they pumped out a fix for the bug within a week or two of the issue arriving, I wouldn't care. It's now been months with no update. Don't waste your money. Seems like they no longer care about this app.

Don't get the hardware if you are running Android 13 software. Been a few months now that my primary android devices haven't worked. Luckily I have an old ipad handy. When it was working I couldn't multitask on the device or I would lose connection to hardware and most time couldn't reconnect. You need to have multiple backup devices running when using master fader 5. Seems like the android 13 problem has been several months now and Mackie developers still can't get it working???

By far the most intuitive and easy-to-use app to get complete control of the mix. I've been using the DL series and S for 5 years now, hundreds of shows. All the issues people are having below about connectivity are most likely problems with their router ( don't use the onboard) and using older tablets. Make sure you are using new technology if it's important to you that it works right, 10 yo ipads just won't cut it.
