Family Tree Maker® Connect is a companion app to the FTM 2024 desktop genealogy software. It allows you to view your own up-to-date Family Tree Maker tree on a phone or a tablet, view trees your relatives have shared with you, place Relative Hint™ sticky notes on any person in a tree and send them to your relatives on the fly.

Ratings and reviews

Very disappointed. For the first time I have an app I am rating 1 star and would rate lower if I could. The app will not even open. I have successfully created an Antenna Tree in the desktop version which I love. Even went into settings to grant permissions, which should not have to be done, and the app still will not even open. Using a Samsung S9+ with an SD Card so plenty of free memory. This app is completely worthless. Uninstalling.

This app doesn't work at all for me. I was so excited to be able to put this app on my phone for all those times I need to look something up when no laptop is available, but I'm highly disappointed! Upon opening the app nothing happens and there are no navigation or option choices other than logging out. I'm simply looking at a blue screen with the logo at the top. I've deleted and reloaded twice; still nothing.

Not Worth the GBs. There is no real functionality in this app other than to view what I presume is the last tree you had open on a desktop. You can't edit anything, switch trees, or do any research. The only setting option is to change the background color of the tree you're looking at. Stick with your Ancestry app. At least it serves a purpose beyond viewing one tree. Very disappointing to have no real purpose.
