About this app

MACRO PRO puts a CNC programming workshop in your pocket. Draw a turned profile, engrave text round the face of a bar, work out a thread, generate a macro program, and run it in the simulator before it ever reaches the machine.

Built for machinists, setters and programmers working on lathes, turn-mill centres and machining centres. Every tool runs on your phone.

TOOLS

• ShopTurn Contour — build a turned profile from straights, faces, tapers, arcs, recesses and bulges, with chamfers and radii on any corner. Nose-radius compensation, G71/G73 roughing and G70 finishing, single-block run and a live graph.

• Text Engraver — engrave text flat, wrapped round a 4th-axis part, or on the face of a bar on a turn-mill with C axis and G12.1 polar interpolation. Single-line stroke font or outline mode, many languages and fonts.

• Turning Threads — metric, UN, BSP, NPT, trapezoidal and Acme threads. Pitch, depth and passes worked out for G76, G92 or G32.

• Macro Generator — facing, pockets, bores, polygons, star pockets and thread milling, written as Macro B or plain G-code.

• Program Simulator — paste any program and watch the tool path before you cut. Turning, milling and engraving; play it or step it block by block.

• Study Programming — G-code, M-code and Macro B explained lesson by lesson, with real example programs for milling and turning.

• Speeds & Feeds — spindle speed, feed and cutting speed for your material and cutter.

• PCD Calculator — every hole on a bolt circle, with the drilling program.

• Right Triangle — enter two values and get every side and angle.

OUTPUT FOR YOUR CONTROL

Depending on the tool, programs post in Fanuc (ISO), Siemens or GRBL format, and the app shows its warnings before you export. Always prove out a new program on your machine with care — check offsets, clearances and machine-specific M codes before cutting.
