Magma Pin is a fast arcade shooter about one very angry volcano.
You hold the last mountain standing while a meteor storm falls out of the sky. Slide your volcano along the ground, let it pour fire upward without stopping, and break every rock before it lands on you. Survive the storm and the real fight begins: a lava boss drops in, weaves across the sky and shoots straight back.
HOW IT PLAYS
Drag anywhere on the screen to move. The volcano fires on its own, so your attention stays on dodging and lining up shots.
Meteorites do not break on the first hit. Each one takes a run of clean shots and visibly cracks smaller as you chip away at it, so you have to decide what to shoot and what to dodge.
Later levels send more rocks, drop them faster and give them tougher armour. What was a comfortable rhythm on level three turns into a real squeeze on level twelve.
Every level ends with a boss. It cycles through movement patterns, long sweeps across the sky, figure eights and diving runs straight at you, and aims its shots at wherever you happen to be standing. Standing still is never the answer.
The boss carries five hearts. Each heart takes several hits before it breaks, and the hearts shrink as you wear them down, so you can always see how close you are.
You have eight health points. Every meteorite that reaches you and every shot that connects costs one of them.
