Trace is a text-first storytelling platform for casual readers and writers.

Most of us do not always know what we want to write, what we want to share, or who we are writing for. But sometimes there is an urge to express something in words. A thought, a feeling, a memory, a scene, a question, or just something that needs to come out.

Trace is built for that urge.

On Trace, every story begins with a topic. You can create a topic from a thought you have, write your own Trace from someone else’s idea, or continue a story from where another person left it.

It is not about writing perfectly. It is about leaving something behind for someone else to read, feel, or build on.
