About this app

Mahika is an app that aims to provide a voice for women who face harassment and abuse. It enables them to record and report incidents, connect with police and the community, and access nearby places for basic needs.
1) Auto-Recording
By tapping the volume and volume down button, the app can record the voice of the incident and send it to nearby police with the name and current location automatically after 1 minute if the auto-sending is not declined.
2) Communities
The app connects all women and police in your area in a common group where they can interact with each other regarding any problem they face. Police have access to all the communities and can respond to any reports or requests. Video and Image proofs can also be added if exist.
3) Show Nearby places needed for them
The app provides information about basic amenities a woman needs in case of an emergency or if they are new to the place. Some of the basic needs of women, such as hospitals, pharmacies, police stations, etc. are fulfilled in the application
4) Preventive to data tampering
When the voice gets recorded in an emergency, the voice recording is stored in the storage so that even if they try to cancel, the proofs will be safe.

Benefits are:
1) Safety
The app enhances the safety of women by allowing them to record and report incidents quickly and easily. It also alerts the police and community about any potential threats or dangers.
2) Evidence
The app helps women collect evidence of harassment and abuse by recording voice and visual proofs. This can help them seek justice and accountability from the perpetrators.
3) Support
The app connects women with police and community who can provide support and assistance in case of any problem. It also helps them access resources and services that can help them cope and recover from trauma.
4) Empowerment
The app empowers women to voice their concerns and stand up for their rights. It also creates awareness and solidarity among women who face similar issues.
