Double Mahjong is a free mahjong game built around two things most tile games get wrong: tiles big enough to actually see, and a pace you set yourself.

MATCH TWO TILES, NOT THREE
A lot of newer tile match games ask you to collect three tiles into a tray, and lose you the level when the tray fills up. This is not that game. Double Mahjong is classic mahjong solitaire on an open board — you match two identical tiles at a time, and there is no tray, no fail state waiting to surprise you.

HOW TO PLAY MAHJONG SOLITAIRE
Tap or slide two matching mahjong tiles to remove them from the board. A tile can only be matched when it is free — not covered by another tile, and open on its left or right side. Clear every tile and the board is solved.

The rules take thirty seconds to learn. The puzzles will keep you thinking for years. If you have ever played majong, mahjongg, or what some people call Shanghai solitaire, you already know exactly what to do.

ABOUT THE NAME
Mahjong solitaire is also known as Shanghai solitaire, and is played with the tile set of the classic Chinese game of mahjong. You will see it spelled majong, mahjongg, mah jong or even mahjong solitare — they all refer to the same tile matching puzzle. Please note this is the single-player version. It is not the four-player game with draws, discards and winning hands.
