About this app

This astronomy app lets you enjoy the night sky and constellations in 3D (stereoscopic viewing).

Experience the depth of space through stereograms (parallel viewing method).

In addition to the functions of a typical astronomy app, it realistically reproduces the night sky based on European Space Agency (ESA) stellar distance data. You can set all locations on Earth and the near side of the Moon as observation points. By setting the date and time, you can display the night sky visible at that time and location.

1. Experience the Depth of Space in 3D Stereoscopic View
Displays 102,154 stars near Earth. Observe interstellar space three-dimensionally using stereograms (parallel viewing method).

2. Realistic Reproduction of the Solar System
Displays the Sun, Moon, and planets with their actual apparent diameters. The phases of the Moon and inner planets are accurately reproduced. When the Moon is set as the observation point, the Earth as seen from each point on the Moon is displayed.

3. Supports Multiple Display Methods
The night sky display supports the following four coordinate systems:

• Cartesian Coordinates (Rectangular Projection)
• Hammer Projection
• Polar Coordinates
• Polar Coordinates

4. Can also be used as a highly accurate star chart
The polar coordinate display for the North and South Poles accurately calculates the shape of the horizon according to the latitude of the observation point.
Therefore, it can reproduce the appearance of constellations close to the actual sky, and can be used as a more accurate star chart than commercially available products.

5. Differences in appearance depending on the observation point
By setting the latitude and longitude, you can check the differences in the appearance of the night sky and the moon depending on the location.
It also supports simulations of solar eclipses and stellar occultations.

6. Reproduce the night sky by specifying the date and time
You can freely set the observation date and time to display past and future night skies. It also supports input of calendar, city name, and latitude/longitude.
