Makaala is Mancala the way it feels on a real table: a folding dark-mahogany board with brass hinges, glass gems that clink into carved pits, and rules you can learn in one minute and study for years.
Mancala is the oldest board game family in the world. For centuries it has been played under names like Kalah, Oware, Awale, Warri, Bao, Ayo, Sungka, Congkak, Dakon, Omweso and Gebeta. Makaala plays classic Kalah, the ruleset most people mean when they say mancala.
SOW, CAPTURE, GO AGAIN
Six pits a side, four seeds each, 48 seeds on the board. Land your last seed in your store to move again; land in an empty pit on your side to capture everything opposite. Every move is animated seed by seed, with haptics and glass-on-wood sound, so you always see exactly what happened. Seed counts stay visible on every pit, and a live win-probability bar plus a move log with instant replay turn each game into a lesson.
