You reach for your phone, and Instagram is open before you decided anything. MakeMeSane puts a calm pause in that moment.
HOW IT WORKS
When you open an app you've chosen, MakeMeSane appears first. One breath, one question: what were you looking for?
• Something specific: you go straight in, with two minutes before it checks back.
• Nothing: it takes you back to your day. If something's on your mind, park it in one line first. It's always your call.
Switching apps to reply to someone doesn't restart the pause, so it never fights you when you have a real reason.
WHAT YOU GET
• A pause on any three apps, free, forever
• One question that turns a reflex into a choice
• Parked thoughts, kept for later instead of scrolled away
• Today: how many times you chose to go back, and a seven-day view
• A heads-up if your phone switches the pause off, and a short weekly summary (both optional)
MAKEMESANE PLUS
Optional, for when a pause isn't enough:
• Unlimited apps
• Strict schedules: bedtime or focus hours with no two-minute option
• Insights: 30-day trends and your busiest times, worked out on your phone
• A custom pause: a longer breath, your own question, a longer pass
Monthly, yearly with a 7-day free trial, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Subscriptions renew until you cancel in Google Play.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
MakeMeSane has no account and no ads. What you do in other apps never leaves your phone: your apps, parked thoughts and counts stay in the app's own storage, and uninstalling removes them. Usage stats about MakeMeSane's own setup screens help us improve it, and you can turn them off in Settings.
WHY MAKEMESANE USES THE ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE
To show the pause before an app appears, MakeMeSane uses Android's accessibility service to learn the name of the app you just opened. It uses nothing else: it can't read your messages, passwords, notifications or anything on your screen. You turn it on yourself after reading an explanation in the app, and you can turn it off at any time in your phone's Accessibility settings.
MakeMeSane is a tool for everyday attention. It is not a medical or mental health treatment.
A calm pause before Instagram opens. One question, then you decide.
