PoLang is a private AI photo gallery that finds, organizes, and edits the photos and videos on your phone. Browse like a regular gallery — then go further: semantic photo search, on-device AI tagging, people grouping, a chat assistant that manages your gallery in plain language, and a full AI photo editor. SEARCH PHOTOS IN PLAIN LANGUAGE
Type or say what you remember — "sunset at the beach", "dog playing in the snow", "photos of my daughter last summer". PoLang combines on-device semantic search (CLIP-class image understanding) with auto tags, face grouping, and time & place filters, so vague descriptions and precise queries both work. You can also search by image: send a reference photo to find visually similar shots.

ORGANIZE AUTOMATICALLY, ON YOUR DEVICE
Photos are tagged on-device by scene, people, objects, and activities. Browse this photo gallery by tag or by person — name a face once, then just ask for "mom's photos" or "pictures of my kids". Duplicate and similar photos are found for you, ready to clean up — your photo organizer at work, keeping your photo album tidy automatically.

CHAT WITH YOUR GALLERY
The built-in AI assistant answers questions about your collection and acts on it: find photos, summarize your gallery, organize media — always with your confirmation before anything is changed or deleted.

A full photo editor with beauty retouch (skin smoothing, face shaping), filters, one-tap cutout & background eraser, and standard ID photos with a clean background — or simply tell the assistant "make it warmer" and watch the edit happen.

PRIVACY FIRST, OPEN SOURCE
All photo tagging, face detection, and semantic search run 100% on your device and work fully offline. Your photos are never uploaded. The full source code is open on GitHub — verifiable, not just promised.

GOOD TO KNOW
• First run: download the on-device AI models (~1.5 GB, Wi-Fi recommended), then run one gallery scan (~1.5 h per 10,000 photos; an optional deeper content pass can run overnight while charging). Already-scanned photos are skipped, so later scans are fast.
• AI chat uses a remote large language model and needs internet. Only text is sent — never your photos. Free quota included; register with email for a higher quota.
• Android 7.0+; arm64 devices recommended for on-device AI.
