Are you tired of scrolling through your large folders of memes, screenshots and images to find a specific one? Then MemeScanner is the right app for you!

MemeScanner lets you search for text inside your images and videos. To do that, MemeScanner uses Google Vision OCR to initially scan your gallery and extract the text. This allows for quick searches afterwards. When searching for a word, MemeScanner will show you every image and video on your device that contains the word, as part of the image or the file name. Opening the image/video leads you to your standard gallery app, which lets you share the image/video like you are used to.

The scan and search for images and videos with text works offline. At no point is any of your data transferred over the internet!

Found this on 9GAG and thought, hey I'll give it a shot. Took about 50 minutes to go through my 18k memes which was not bad since it was doing it in the background as I still could use my phone. This app works better than advertised! It can sift through all 18k instantly I was more than happy to buy the pro. My one suggestion is make it so you can swipe left and right when viewing images. Thank you for making such an amazing application!

It's the first one to introduce me to that concept of searching through my gallery using text .. completely changing how I think about my data It's quick and works on the background .. it could use a lot of work & a lot of features to add from similar ones .. but I would definitely recommend it to anyone specially that it's the only one on the play store The competitor screenshot go has been removed

I have over a thousand of documents, passport, manuals, website, passwords, etc screenshots. I use it to search for the text on those screenshots and amazingly it works pretty well. I found that it works well if it is a screenshot and fairly well if it is a taken photo. I hope the developer can make the photo thumbnail easy to use like photo gallery app and make it much more useful. appreciate your great app.

What's new

New targetSdkVersion 33 and updated libraries, otherwise the app will no longer be listed in the Play Store. Sadly with new bugs: Sometimes GUI elements disappear, opening and closing the app lets them reappear.
