About this game

Chess 3D: Fantasy Armies Fight is chess where the pieces fight, not slide. Every capture is a duel: the attacker walks up, strikes, and the defender falls. Full standard chess rules underneath, a 3D board you orbit and zoom with your fingers on top, and eleven complete armies to play it with.

ELEVEN ARMIES, 132 PIECES, ALL IN 3D
Every army is a full set of twelve unique pieces — pawn to king, both colours — and every piece has its own model. Not recolours. A Corsair Coast rook is a cannon-toting pirate; a Steel Vanguard rook is a mech. Pick the army that suits your mood:

• Royal Court — classic carved chess, regal and clean. Free.
• Warbound: Kingdom — high fantasy knights in gold and blue
• Warbound: Horde — rusted iron, bone and tusk
• Frostborn Raiders — axes, longships and very bad weather
• Shogun's Court — lacquered armour, perfect posture
• Corsair Coast — two crews, one board, no quarter
• High Noon — draw. The whole board is a standoff.
• Task Force 64 — modern warfare on sixty-four squares
• Steel Vanguard — heavy metal, heavier captures
• Grave Legion — the endgame, literally
• Stick Tactics — zero polygons wasted, all attitude

Every piece in every army moves the same way — same walk, same strike, same fall — so the game reads clearly no matter what is on the board. What changes is the character, not the chess.

THE ARMORY
Inspect any piece before you commit to it. Spin it, zoom in, play its idle, walk, attack and defeat animations, switch between the white and black army, and flip between the fit-to-frame view and true relative size. Every piece is lit exactly as it is on the board, so what you see is what you get.

CHESS FOR EVERY LEVEL
Never moved a pawn? Twelve short lessons teach the game from scratch — how each piece moves, check, castling, en passant, promotion — with a coach on the board. Been playing for twenty years? Five AI opponents, from a patient Beginner that leaves room to learn, to a Master engine that searches deep and punishes a lazy move. Or pass the phone for two-player chess on one device.

• Five AI levels: Beginner, Casual, Club Player, Expert, Master
• Two-player on one device
• Undo, hints, and a move list in standard notation
• Fifteen tactical challenges, from mate-in-one to real puzzles
• A new chess puzzle every day

BUILT FOR THE PHONE
• Orbit, zoom and pan the board with one and two fingers
• Camera presets for the player's view, a top-down view and a cinematic angle
• Coordinates painted onto the board frame, readable from every side
• Tap accuracy tuned for tall pieces — the square you aim at is the one you get
• Works offline. No account, no sign-in, no server.

FREE, WITH CHOICES
Chess 3D: Fantasy Armies Fight is free to play with Royal Court, every AI level, every lesson, every challenge and the daily puzzle. Three games against the computer a day are free; after that, watch a short ad for another, or remove ads for good.
