About this app

Roam is a navigation app built for journeys in Malaysia.

Search for destinations and starting points, or use your current location with your permission. Compare available routes for cars or motorcycles, add up to eight stops, see estimated time and distance, then follow turn-by-turn directions on the map.

During navigation, Roam shows remaining time and distance, helps you re-centre the map, recalculates the route when you go off course, and gives voice guidance in Bahasa Melayu, English, 中文 or தமிழ். You can also find nearby petrol station locations; those locations come from OpenStreetMap and do not show station prices, stock or opening hours.

Roam requests location only after your action. You can choose a manual starting point without GPS. The app does not store search history, routes or journey locations in Roam's database; current searches and routes are sent through Roam to the providers named in the privacy policy.

Roam is designed to be used while the app is active. It does not provide background navigation, offline maps, real-time traffic or certified safety guidance. Always obey signs, laws and road conditions, and do not use your phone while driving.
