The Ranniot tracking system was developed in collaboration with Mapitare and Digita.

The development of the Ranniot tracking service is based on a system originally developed for security authorities, the functionality of which must be secured in critical work and demanding conditions.

With Ranniot reindeer trackers, you can reliably track the location information and alarms of your reindeer. Ranniot trackers can be conveniently connected to the program with a QR code, which can be read directly with the Ranniot program. You can easily adjust the positioning interval of the Ranniot tracking device from 3 minutes to 1 week. The locations of the trackers and alarm information from a device that has been stationary for a long time are also shown in the Ranniot map application. In addition, you can view the track traveled by the trackers on the map.

You can also use an Android phone as a tracking device and add it as a device to be located like the Ranniot tracker. You can adjust the phone's positioning interval from 5 seconds to 5 minutes. For example, you can place your phone in your dog's vest, allowing you to track your dog in real time without disturbing the dog's activities. In addition, you can listen to the sound of the dog and the environment and send pre-recorded commands to the dog. You can also turn on barking or standing detection.

In the Ranniot map application, you can download accurate vector map data from Finland, Sweden and Norway to your phone at once. You can always use the data and locate your own location using GPS in flight mode. Determining your own location, search functions and routing on the map also work without network connections.

Thanks to the 100% OFFLINE vector map technology, friend and device location work well even in areas with slower mobile networks (2G), because only the location information of the devices is transferred to the map application via the mobile network.

RANNIOT Locator features:

RANNIOT Locator is a reliable, small and lightweight (90g) locator for tracking reindeer. The locator is affordable and maintenance-free, and does not require a SIM card. RANNIOT You can replace new batteries in the locator yourself. RANNIOT Locator is also suitable for smaller dogs.

RANNIOT Locators use a new wireless IoT data transmission network built by Digita in Finland, which allows the power consumption of the locator devices to be very low and thus the operating times with batteries to be long. COASTAL locators do not use mobile phone networks and do not require SIM cards!

Using a phone as a locator requires a device internet subscription, which can be purchased inexpensively directly from mobile phone operators.
