Last update take long time to update status GPS signal
Great app and tracker for my dog
The GPS tracker itself works extremely well, better than expected in fact. When I replay the history data on my laptop back home, I can see, using the Live setting taking location data every 10 seconds, there are very few gaps in the data. I walk on beaches, through woods and through variable mobile coverage, so I am impressed with the quality of data. Onto the android app, I appreciate I need a reasonable 3G connection for it to function and understand when I’m out of coverage I’ll not be able to trace the tracker. Luckily, I’m not out of coverage for extended periods and it soon re-establishes connection when I get a signal back. On the map on the phone, the orientation seems to be completely random. The map data is extremely accurate, but unless you know the local topography well and can orient the screen to fit that and your direction of travel, it can be confusing. What would be useful is to be able to have a Track Up option or even just a North Up option. The other thing that really is essential, especially given the variability of the compass, is a scale on the map. I have no idea if the distance between me and my hound is 10 meters or 1000 meters.
Crashes occasionally, but is an otherwise great app. Wish it had the heatmap from a full browser.
Great App It works well, after loosing our cat for 2 1/2 weeks, it's great to keep an eye on her!
No Google maps Be aware is does not use Google maps! The compass does not work correctly the arrow points in the wrong direction 50% of the time and the wrong distance shows. It also say the GPS updates every minute it doesn't it take about 4 minutes by this time your children could be a long way from the last update from the GPS.
Fix crash when application resume
