Welcome to Moni, a new way of looking at your finances.
Moni was created to help you understand your expenses. I believe the best way to save money is to first understand where it goes. After more than a year of using a manual control spreadsheet, I decided to throw it away, rethink the problem and build a better product.
Moni was built on three pillars:
AUTOMATED AND REGULATED BY THE CENTRAL BANK
The first pillar is to automate the data ingestion process. Our users' time is precious, and I don't want them to spend it on manual tasks. Therefore, I built the app to work 100% integrated with Open Finance, a new Central Bank technology that allows you to connect directly with the country's main banks.
Connections are regulated by the Central Bank and use the most advanced security standards on the market.
With Moni, you connect with more than 20 banks in a secure, regulated and automatic way.
BUDGETS AND EXPENDITURE CONTROL
The second pillar of the product is “Budgets”. Budgets work as a guide to how much you can spend per month in each category. One of Moni's differentiators is the product's intelligence. We help you understand your spending averages by category, and from there, define compatible budgets.
YOURS AND YOURS ONLY
“If the service is free, you are the product.”
Finally, Moni's third pillar is data privacy. Moni does not sell or share your data with third parties. I want to offer a quality service, aligned with your interests and that respects your privacy. The product is "bootstrapped", that is, created from scratch by me without investment funds. I only respond to my clients, and no one else. For this to work, the product works on a subscription model, allowing me to continue working and evolving Moni over the years.
Remember the great saying: "There's no such thing as a free lunch".
