Learn the most important dates in history in a short time and never forget them again — just ten minutes of review each week are enough!

In the app you’ll find a quiz on the most important dates in Western history.
In this first version, Chinese and Indian history are missing — I’ll work on that!

The idea is to teach history to people who have little passion for it, little desire to study, but who still want to know at least the basics so they can find their bearings and not feel ignorant.

IF YOU ARE A HISTORIAN OR A BIG HISTORY BUFF, THIS IS NOT THE APP FOR YOU!

Exact dates are hard to remember, so the CompactHistory method is based on approximate dates, rounded to the century or the decade. If you remember that America was discovered in 1500 instead of 1492, or that the Western Roman Empire fell in 500 instead of 476, that’s perfectly fine!

That’s perfectly fiiiiine!

What matters is not getting the centuries wrong — don’t place Julius Caesar three centuries earlier, or the Hundred Years’ War three centuries later.

The app lets you take the full quiz (about 140 questions) or only the most important ones, or choose a specific historical period and train on that.

Whatever option you choose, you can answer the questions in chronological order or randomly.

At any time, using the “+” button, you can stop the test and see partial results.
When I show you the answers, a short text will explain them.

Do this: start training by historical periods and in chronological order. After a few weeks, you’ll know everything and you’ll be able to take the full test in random order.

Then you’ll see that if you take the test every week, just 10 minutes are enough — you’ll never forget it again.
