About this app

DIGITAL LOGBOOK: Log your Scuba, Freediving, Extended Range and Rebreather (SCR/CCR) dives in seconds via Bluetooth. Easily share your dives via QR code.

DIVE SITES: With the help of the Mares dive site database, you can immediately assign a dive site to your logged dives. You can also add your own private dive sites and share them with your dive buddies using a QR code. You can download your dive data directly from selected Mares dive computers *.

WILDLIFE: A variety of local wildlife is already stored in the app for individual dive sites. This means you can immediately assign the highlights of your underwater encounters to your logged dives. Your sightings are displayed on your personal world map.

DIVE BUDDIES: Easily add your dive buddies via QR code or manually in the app. Share your best dives and most exciting animal encounters with friends using the Mares app.

STATISTICS: All your dives and data can be seen at a glance, including your longest or deepest dive, your average dive time and more!

DIGITAL EQUIPMENT: Store important dive equipment details, including serial numbers, photos and invoices. Enter maintenance dates and keep track of when your equipment needs to be serviced.

NEWS AND VIDEOS: Stay up-to-date with all the latest news and videos from the world of water sports and diving.

FIRMWARE: When you connect your dive computer to the app, you will be able to confirm if you have the latest firmware. As soon as it is outdated, you will receive a message regarding the newest firmware to download.

TABLES: Here you will find useful information such as decompression tables and emergency scenarios.

Works okayish on your phone. You have to import it to an SSI account to view on PC but the information on SSI is extremely limited compared to what's in the divelog. Can't view any of the complete info on PC. Can't connect to PC with the bluetooth connector. Should really be able to see the data in your Mares account, but you can't. Maybe it's because they're trying to force you to buy the USB connector after you already shelled out $60 for the bluetooth connector.

After years still the only possible way to sync the dive computer is using the Bluetooth interface, if you have the cabled one and an USB OTG adapter it won't recognize it since it's not even an option to use an USB connection, although it will work perfectly with Subsurface mobile. It's disappointing when even a non profit third party can do better than the producer itself... And if you're using the Mares PC app guess what? That doesn't sync with the general database on Mares and SSI website.

Don't use this software to update firmware. I made the mistake of allowing it to update the firmware of my Smart Air computer. It failed at 12% and left the computer in bootloader mode. I've tried a dozen or so times to reinstall the firmware, but it always fails at various percentages. It's pretty shocking that Mares would release software that will just brick a dive computer if you make the mistake of connecting it.
