The Uttar Pradesh Department of Geology & Mining has introduced the concept of MINETAG which is a RFID based monitoring system to prevent illegal transportation of minerals from the mining site or through the check gates and bring transparency and convenience for everyone in the system. MINETAG is installed on a vehicle to identify the registered vehicles at mining site or at any check gates put up in the state. The MINETAG will contain a unique TAG ID Number, thereafter this number is mapped with the vehicle number in the master database through our android based mobile application. When any vehicle installed with the MINETAG passes through the check gate, the tag will furnish the relevant information via RFID Hand Held Reader like Vehicle number, owner name, owner number, type of vehicle, owner address, loading capacity and number of wheels etc. When the tagged vehicle passes through the check gate, a host of technological devices recognize the vehicle and carry out the required processes. MINETAG can be installed easily, once issued from the back office.
