Wonderful app, love to track shipping movements and ports. Find it very sad that many traditional ports are so devoid of shipping. However, I can remember as a small child visiting my father's ships, (he was a chief engineer) and seeing all the timber, on the quay, used for securing cargo. Of course other people in the industry thought that to. I love looking at the traffic movements in the Rhine Maas delta and the Missipipi. In addition, the Amazon to, as my father sailed for a Vestey group company that raded New York, West Indies to Brazil.Reaching as far as Iquitos.
I find it a wonderfully detailed & Accurate app, most information display by it is quit accurate wich is so helpful when preparing to film or photographing a particular vessel of interest. Although I hav encountered an enoying discrepancy of 5 to 10% on several occasions! Though this may be due to Reception/ Coverage Or ones chosen operating device's to use the app through.. I particularly rather using marinetraffic through a tablet or Laptop device rather than say a handheld but handhelds do- Gladly still premote great flexibility on alot of occasions I find!! 😊😊
Paid $5.99 only to find out there are many more paid upgrades within the app and limitations on notifications. Also, tracking some of the cruise ships I've been on/going to be on and many times there are long periods (hours to a day) before location is updated. Minus a star for each issue otherwise a very cool app.
Loving this sooooo much. 😎 Wow!. Never thought that an app like this would ever come out. I love and enjoy anything to do with maritime shipping. I used to spend countless hours down Poole Harbour waiting for ships to come and go. Since getting this app, I know exactly what's coming and going. Very good UI and lots of information. Well done to the developers. Good job. 👍🙄
I love the idea and I want to love the app but the interface is awful. It would easily be five stars all round if it adhered to Material design and the payment/upgrade options were clearer. Currently it feels very Apple/Windows Mobile (the old one). Also, I can't see any Navy ships anymore, but I'm guessing this is probably intended/security limitation?
This would have been 5 star if the limits on records were greater. It works amazingly and let me keep a check on my ferry. One thing out of the app developers control is that not all small craft carry transmitters. If they had to it would make the results even better.
