ROUTE PLANNING TOOLS

-Route Plotting. Tap and hold on the map for one second to plot your waypoints. To form a route, continue to tap and hold on the map in different areas. Distance and bearing are conveniently calculated and displayed for each leg as you add, adjust, or remove waypoints.

-Travel Mode. Automatically centers the map on your current position as you move. Use travel mode to see how closely you are following your plotted route in real time!

-Route Leg Summary. A convenient view containing detailed information of each leg you have plotted, including start and end coordinates, distance, and bearing.

Edit: WAS a great app. This last update caused slow loading to the point that even on house wifi the charts won't load properly. Good job.... Great app, though wholly dependant on having a cell signal which is why I only use it on my little boat. Only real complaint I have is that the ads (expected of course, the app is free) actually cover the usable portions of the chart and get in the way.

9/18/2026 app continues it's decline. now the app won't open unless you allow notifications. 5/17/2025 been a 5 star app for years until recently. the weather layers have stopped working consistently. means I am unable to view wave height, wind, etc. I hope it is fixed soon. this is/was my go to app to check the water in the bay for boating.

I've been using this app for a few years now. I typically use it to plan a trip when I'm home and don't have Island Girl's chart plotter. For short boat trips when I don't want to mess with the chart plotter I will use it for watching my speed. I use the ftee version so for the price it is great. I wish there was a way to save a few plotted courses but I think that is available if you subscribe. An AIS option would be nice to track shipping etc. I use a separate app for that.

What’s new

v2.19, fixes an issue introduce in previous release where rejecting notification permission, would cause the "Accept" user agreement button to become unresponsive and eventually close the app.
