FileToss is a local P2P file sharing application that allows you to transfer files between nearby smartphones, tablets, and PCs in the fastest and safest way, using only a local network (Wi-Fi or mobile hotspot), without an internet connection or mobile data consumption.
You can send and receive unlimited files without restrictions on file format or size, including photos, videos, large documents, and apps (APKs). Whether the file size is too large or the quality is degraded for a messenger, email attachments are cumbersome, or you are outdoors or in airplane mode where there is no network signal at all, FileToss allows for perfect sharing.

3. Automatic Connection in 1 Second with QR Code
• No need to manually enter complex and hard-to-remember IP addresses or port numbers.
• Scan the QR code displayed on the server screen with the client app's built-in camera scanner, and the matching and connection are completed instantly.
4. Guaranteed Transmission Integrity
• Were you worried about data loss or damage when sending large files? • FileToss automatically performs MD5 hash verification in the background immediately after file reception is complete. It compares the hash values of the original and received files one-to-one to confirm they are identical. (This can be toggled on and off in Settings.)
5. Background Service for Uninterrupted Transfer
• Transfers will not be interrupted even if the screen turns off or another app is opened during large file transfers.
• Transfers are safely completed even while multitasking through a stable background Foreground Service and control of the top notification bar. (To conserve battery power, the app will automatically shut down after 30 minutes of inactivity.)
6. Real-time Connection Information & Automatic Storage Calculation
• Monitors the list of users currently in the same room and the host/client status in real-time.
• It checks the remaining available storage space on your device in real-time before receiving files, preventing transfers from being interrupted due to insufficient capacity.
📱 How to Use
💡 When Sending Files (Server Mode)
1. Launch the app and set a nickname to represent yourself. (e.g., HongGildong_GalaxyS24)
2. Select your desired connection method (Standard Wi-Fi or Mobile Hotspot).
3. Press [Open Server Mode] to create a file sharing room.
4. Press [Add My Files] to select and upload the files you want to share.
5. Share the QR code or IP address displayed on the screen with the person you want to connect with!
💡 When receiving files (Client Mode)
1. Press [Connect Client].
2. Press [Scan QR Code] to scan the QR code on the server device screen, or enter the displayed IP address directly.
3. Once the connection is complete, a list of shared files will appear.
4. Press the [Receive] button next to the file you want to download to transfer it securely.
💡 When transferring to a PC or a device without the app installed (Web Browser Mode)
1. Check the server address in the format http://192.168.x.x:8080 displayed on the server device screen (Standard Wi-Fi Mode). 2. Enter the address into the address bar on your PC or the other person's smartphone and connect.
3. You can download files directly from the browser screen or upload them to the server device by dragging and dropping.
