arkwhat is the Markdown reader Android was missing.
Open .md files from WhatsApp, Drive, Telegram, Gmail, or anywhere they arrive — straight
from the chat attachment, no copy-paste, no detour through a desktop. Read them with proper
rendering. Organize the ones you keep. Export the polished version to PDF when you need to
share it.

OPENS .MD FROM ANYWHERE
WhatsApp, Telegram, Gmail attachments, Google Drive, Downloads — Markwhat registers as
the default handler for .md, so the "no app to open this file" message goes away. Tap the
attachment, the reader opens, you're done.

Split-view editor with a live preview that updates as you type. Plain monospace editor on top,
rendered output below. Flip which pane is on top with one tap.
EXPORT TO PDF
One tap from the overflow menu. Generates a clean A4 PDF with embedded Mermaid diagrams,
properly paginated. Share the PDF anywhere.
PINCH TO ZOOM
Pinch anywhere in the document to zoom in. The zoom is anchored to where your fingers are, like
Apple Photos or Google Maps. No lag, even on long docs with dozens of diagrams.
DARK MODE
Designed dark-first. Light mode is a faithful alternative. Follows your system theme by
default.

PRIVACY
Markwhat uses anonymous diagnostics (Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics) to count installs,
understand which features are used, and catch crashes. We never read or transmit the contents
of your .md files. We never collect your name, email, phone number, contacts, or location. Full
policy linked from the listing.
PERMISSIONS
Markwhat uses the Storage Access Framework for everything — you grant access folder-by-folder,
only to the folders you pick. No "Manage All Files" permission. No background scanning of your
phone.
TECH
Built natively in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. Markdown rendering via Markwon. Mermaid diagrams
via the official mermaid.js. Material 3 components, tuned for a developer-utility aesthetic.
