■ Should we go out to sea today, or rest?
We decide in the morning after checking the weather forecast. If it's sunny, we can cast our nets. If the sea is rough, the catch will be cut in half or more, and the fishing gear will be damaged.
However, forecasts can be wrong. The probability of being correct is 75%. If we use a fish finder, it increases to 90%.
Going out doesn't always guarantee profit. Fuel costs and crew wages are incurred even if we don't catch anything.
There are days when resting is the right decision.
■ A big catch can lead to a price collapse
This is the key to this game. If you put the same fish on the market all at once, the unit price will drop. You're essentially driving down the price yourself.
If you go to the same fishing grounds every day, the market price will eventually sink to around 40%.
Conversely, if you let the fish rest, the market price will recover. On some days, demand is strong, and prices can reach 130%.
This type of fishing involves considering not only "where to catch" but also "when to sell."
Buying a freezer warehouse allows you to store your catch instead of selling it on days when prices drop. You can wait until prices are high.
However, freshness will decline.
■ Three Fishing Grounds, Three Fishing Methods
Nearby fishing grounds are within bays. Horse mackerel, mackerel, and sardines. They're cheap but reliably caught.
Offshore fishing grounds yield high prices for yellowtail, bonito, and sea bream, but are dangerous in rough seas.
Deep-sea fishing means being away for three days. Tuna and splendid alfonsino. Big catches if you're lucky.
Net fishing yields large quantities, but includes smaller fish, lowering the unit price. Line fishing yields smaller quantities but ensures good freshness.
Cage fishing has fewer misses. The most suitable fishing method varies depending on the fishing ground.
■ Upgrading to a Larger Boat
Small fishing boats have a cargo hold capacity of up to 200kg. When using nets in nearby waters, 40% of the days you won't be able to load all your catch.
Switching to a medium-sized boat will increase your catch by more than 1.4 times and allow you to venture into deeper waters.
The equipment purchased, including engines, fish finders, and cold storage, cannot be operated for a year.
■ Trust from the Middleman
If you bring in fish reliably every day, the middleman will give you a small bonus. Up to a 10% increase in purchase price.
If you take extended leave, the price will decrease.

To go out or to rest. Read the weather, go fishing, and sell the fish you catch at the market. However, if you have a big catch, you have to lower the price yourself.
