The Mid-Atlantic Sports Network (MASN) is a regional sports network owned by two Major League Baseball franchises - the Baltimore Orioles and Washington Nationals - and televises every available game of both teams, live and in high definition. The network is available in a seven-state region, from Harrisburg, Pa., to Charlotte, N.C., on 25 cable and fiber optic providers, and is televised nationally via satellite provider DirecTV.

Since MASN launched a full-time, 24/7 schedule in July 2006, the network has televised hundreds of professional and NCAA Division I collegiate events annually.

MASN’s Emmy award-winning coverage of the Orioles and Nationals provides maximum access to sports fans across the region. The network has been at the forefront of using in-game production enhancements including super slo-mo cameras and pitch-tracking technology to enrich the viewing experience.

Feature Programming:

Baltimore Orioles baseball - MASN carries every Orioles game, all season long, live and in HD. MASN provides maximum access to the Orioles with “O’s Xtra” before and after every game in high definition with on-site sets at Oriole Park at Camden Yards during home games.
MASN lets you relive the greatest moments of the past with “Orioles Classics” and re-airs the most recent Orioles games.

Washington Nationals baseball - MASN helps you “Be There” live and in HD during every available Nationals game each season. “Nats Xtra,” the exclusive pregame and postgame show, is televised in high definition live from Nationals Park during every home game.
MASN also rebroadcasts the most recent Nationals games and televises your favorite “Nationals Classics” games.

NCAA sports - In addition to its Major League Baseball programming, MASN is the regional television home for the ACC, the premiere collegiate athletic competition in the mid-Atlantic, featuring every university in the conference including the University of Virginia, Virginia Tech, North Carolina and Duke.

Beginning on Opening Day of 2021, MASN launched its owned and operated dedicated sports media app, creating an innovative digital experience that provides viewers enhanced access to coverage across all available platforms. For the first time ever, fans throughout MASN’s seven-state broadcast territory have the opportunity to live-stream the network’s entire programming lineup - including all Baltimore Orioles and Washington Nationals games - by using the MASN app and authenticating via TV provider log-in.

MASN serves a seven-state area, from Harrisburg, Pa., to Charlotte, N.C., including the entire states of Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. MASN also serves major portions of North Carolina and Pennsylvania and parts of West Virginia.

The Orioles appreciated that a baseball team in the nation’s capital needed to be on television and agreed to share its exclusive television territory with the Nationals. Major League Baseball and the Nationals agreed to grant to TCR (MASN) the exclusive rights to telecast all of the available Nationals games. Since MASN already had the rights to certain Orioles games in 2005 and all available Orioles games in 2007, MASN became the home of the Washington Nationals and continues to be home to Orioles telecasts.

MASN believes every fan in the region should be able to watch the Nationals and Orioles on MASN, which is why MASN have offered fair and reasonable carriage terms to every cable and satellite distributor in the television territory. Ratings and reviews

If it weren't for being the only legal way to watch the Nationals, I'd never use this app. The stream constantly freezes and crashes, there's no PiP support, every time you return to the app you have to watch an ad before the stream resumes, and the app in full screen keeps the top nav displayed. Additionally there's no tablet support and no Google TV/Chromecast support. Overall, I'd not recommend this app to anyone. Please do better, MASN.

masn streaming service is a ripoff. it doesn't work on tablets. it doesn't work on tvs. you can't cast from your phone. they charged me both a season fee and a monthly fee, and won't refund the monthly fee. if you leave the app it pauses the live stream. and if you hit live to catch up, it crashes. janky, broken, and a ripoff. bad combo

Very difficult to cancel subscription. I'm in my twenties and it took me almost half an hour to figure out how to cancel. Very frustrating, I know I will remember the hassell if I'm ever tempted to subscribe to this service again. I've only had time to watch one or two games, but the app has run okay for me both times. It's definitely clunky, but it worked. However, the cancelation process was clearly designed to make it difficult to cancel, and has left a bad taste in my mouth, I won't be back.
