ChirpChirp is a calm, playful learning app for young children. Twelve activities live behind one friendly home screen, so a child who is tired of counting can go and draw instead - and still be learning.
The app talks, and your child can talk back. Every question is read aloud and shown on screen. A child answers by tapping the keypad, by writing the digit with a finger, or by saying the number out loud. Nothing is compulsory: the microphone and handwriting are optional extras, and the whole app works with taps alone.
WHAT IS INSIDE
- Counting - a preschool number course, from "how many" to first sums
- Math - the voice-first arithmetic round: the device asks, your child answers
- Letters - the alphabet of whichever language you have chosen
- English - first English words, picture by picture
- Colors - naming and matching colors
- Animals - animal names and the sounds they make
- Shapes - the flat shapes and where they turn up
- Thinking - sorting, matching and "which group has more"
- Drawing - a blank page and a box of crayons
- Coloring - dozens of pictures to fill in, saved to a gallery
- Writing practice - digits, number words and letters, traced stroke by stroke
- Flashcards - quick review that remembers what your child forgot
REMEMBERS WHAT IS HARD
Arithmetic and flashcards use spaced repetition. Facts your child answers quickly move to the back of the queue; the ones they miss come back tomorrow. The parent screen shows the streak, accuracy over the last two weeks, and which facts still need work.
THIRTEEN LANGUAGES
English, Vietnamese, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Portuguese (Brazil), Turkish, Italian, French, German, Dutch, Japanese and Korean. Choosing a language changes the on-screen text, the spoken voice and the language the app listens for, all together - so a child is never asked a question in one language and expected to answer in another.
MADE FOR SMALL HANDS
- No accounts, no sign-in, no profile to fill in
- Big targets, no menus to read, nothing to type
- Questions, scoring and speech work offline
- Phone and tablet
FOR PARENTS
Ten free plays a day, reset each morning. Writing practice, flashcards, drawing and coloring never cost a play. Running out is never a dead end - the next day always arrives, and a parent can choose to watch a short video for five more plays. Ads are never automatic and never interrupt a round: they only ever start from a button that says what it gives.
MathChirp Plus is an optional subscription (monthly or yearly, with a free first week). It removes the daily limit and all advertising, and adds freshly written story problems, hints and praise on devices that cannot write them on their own. Everything the app teaches works without it. The subscription is reached from Settings, behind a question a young child cannot answer.
PRIVACY
Nothing a child says, writes, draws or photographs ever leaves the device. There is no account, no analytics profile and no advertising ID. Speech is turned into a number on the phone; drawings and progress stay on the phone.
