About this game

A highly engaging platform for learning to add and subtract, created by teachers and math experts.

NumBots is all about every child achieving the “triple win” of understanding, recall and fluency in mental addition and subtraction, so that they move from counting to calculating.

This carefully sequenced programme boosts children's confidence while developing their understanding of math basics - preparing every child to succeed at math.

Suitable from Kindergarten (US) upwards. Younger players will be able to access the early stages from a mathematical point of view but will find it increasingly hard to reach the level of fluency required to make progress.

good, but does not function on a 16:10 aspect ratio tablet. Information at the top of the screen is missing. Means we cannot use it on my son's tablet so make sure you check your aspect ratio as a lot of newer tablets are 16:10. Developers really need to move with the times and scale dynamically rather than just stick to an old 16:9 aspect ratio.

This app prioritises fast answers over correctness. If a child corrects a mis-typed answer, they will almost certainly be blocked from progressing. Children should be learning math, not training to be typists. Also, had to use the website because the app crashes every time.

Good practice although very very repetitive (I guess that's the point). Currently won't let us past level 56 despite getting every question right. We've tried it about 6 times and it only gives one star so have to repeat the level. It seems to be impossible to get 3 stars (I'm a maths teacher and even I can't get them doing it super fast and 100% accurate) but now we are completely stuck. Help please!
