Welcome to OptiCore – the high-performance, zero-permission photography and cinematography calculation matrix engineered specifically for filmmakers, camera assistants, and photographers who require reliable computational tracking entirely offline.
OptiCore packs four specialized optical and field-calculation engines onto a clean, single-viewport dashboard panel. Calculate depth of field, map focal equivalence, find hyperfocal distances, and manage exposure compensation instantly without relying on active cellular networks or external telemetry data.
🔒 100% OFFLINE & PRIVATE (ZERO PERMISSIONS)
OptiCore runs on a strict, local-first computing framework. The application deliberately excludes the Android Internet Permission (android.permission.INTERNET) from its manifest and requests zero hardware permissions. Your focal lengths, aperture values, distance inputs, and sensor metrics are processed entirely within volatile device system memory and never leave your hardware.
🚀 FOUR CORE OPTICAL ENGINES
1. DEPTH OF FIELD (DOF) CALCULATOR
Achieve perfect focus. Input your focal length, aperture (f-stop), and subject distance. The engine calculates the exact near-limit, far-limit, and total depth of focus, ensuring your critical subjects remain tack-sharp within the frame.
2. CROP FACTOR & EQUIVALENCE MATRIX
Preserve your visual field framing. Input your sensor format (Full Frame, Super35, Micro Four Thirds) and focal length. The engine computes the equivalent field-of-view, allowing you to maintain consistent framing and perspective across different camera systems.
3. HYPERFOCAL DISTANCE FINDER
Maximize your focus range. Input your sensor size, focal length, and aperture to determine the exact point of focus required to achieve maximum sharpness from a specific distance all the way to infinity.
4. ND FILTER SHUTTER COMPENSATION
Control your motion blur in high-light conditions. Input your target shutter speed and the density of your Neutral Density (ND) filter stack. The engine computes the necessary exposure adjustments to maintain your intended motion cadence.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
OptiCore is a mathematical reference utility. All calculations are approximations based strictly on user-supplied manual inputs and ideal optical criteria. These outputs do not substitute for physical lens-barrel markings, precise laser-measured focus checks, commercial physical charts, or active camera monitor readouts. The camera operator holds absolute responsibility for image focus and exposure.
