Learn to speak Spanish, French, Japanese, Italian, German, Chinese or Portuguese by actually speaking them.

ConvoLive is speaking practice with an AI tutor. You talk out loud, an AI character talks back, and you work through real situations: ordering coffee, checking into a hotel, getting through an airport. Nothing to schedule, and a partner who is never going to judge you.

No subscription, no paywall

Most language apps put spoken conversation behind a paid tier. ConvoLive does not. There is no premium plan, no locked scenario library, and no trial that expires. Sign up with an email or phone number, with no password to remember, and we never ask for payment details.

Why speaking works

Flashcard apps train you to recognise words. They do not train your mouth. Most learners can read far more than they can say, and that gap only closes one way, which is practice saying things out loud to somebody who answers.

Real goals, not open-ended chat

Every conversation opens with a short list of things to get done. Order three apples. Ask for the total. Each one ticks off the moment you actually do it, and nothing is scripted, so the tick is proof you got there yourself. It is also how you know you are finished, which a chat window that just keeps going never tells you.

Every turn is spoken

You cannot type your way through this one. Your AI partner answers what you actually said, not what a script was expecting.

A way out when you freeze

A few suggested lines are always sitting there. Play one to hear how it should sound, say it yourself, or translate it first if you are not sure what it means. When the thing you want to say is not among them, type that in your own language and get it back in the language you are learning, without leaving the conversation.

Tap any word and understand it in context

The word gets explained right where it sits, in the sense the sentence is actually using, rather than the one a dictionary happens to list first. If it was the whole sentence that got away from you, that is a tap as well.

Build your own scenario

Need something the courses do not cover? Describe the situation and ConvoLive builds it. Ask your partner's father for their hand in marriage. Complain about a hotel room. Compliment a quiche. If you are going to have to say it, you can practice it here first.
