I didn't see any ads. I've had the unpopular opinion for decades that I want file management to be done by a file manager and not have every app reinvent the file manager. I want to find files in a file manager then tell an audio player, play, or queue, or add to a playlist these files that I am pointing to. Also, I missed that this is a trial. So I need to find out how to not get charged, and uninstall the app.

Poweramp doesn’t charge automatically. If you didn’t buy it, no payment will be taken after the trial. To stop using it, just uninstall via System Settings - Apps - Poweramp - Uninstall. If you started a purchase by mistake, cancel it in Google Play - Payments & subscriptions. Poweramp is a player, not a file manager, by design.

took some getting used to, but once I started a premium trial I was extremely impressed. sounds like I have small subwoofer's in my door panels. ended up buying the monthly premium version and boy is it worth it. especially if you aren't confident in wiring a speaker system up yourself, don't have the money for a professional hook up, or even just want a slight but noticeable increase in bass! be careful if playing music while actively adjusting EQ settings. a little goes a long way.

used to be the best audio player I've used. unfortunately, lately I'm looking for the "downgrade to the version that DOESNT randomly change my settings and playlists" option. keeps replacing song in playlists with different songs that have SIMILAR names BUT different artists/songs/genres. the name is *close enough* and I guess that's good enough for Poweramp. it's not good enough for ME, though...

This is not name matching. It usually happens when Android changes media IDs after files are moved, renamed, or rescanned from a different path. Playlists link by ID, not title. Keep files in one stable folder, avoid renaming after creating playlists, rescan once, and disable frequent auto-rescan. Backup playlists regularly.
