Miserable app. Absolutely riddled with ads, all screaming "activate your account!" and which DON'T tell you that none of them have anything to do with the app or the magazine at all. There appears to be no way of stopping the ads and when I complained through the help link in the app, the automated email response sent me to another link for assistance that did not work. There is nothing in the onboard help to tell you how to opt out of the deluge of commercials. I like the magazine-app is awful

The app for Android does not acknowledge a subscription. Rebooting, reinstalling, clearing cache does not fix the problem of having a request for payment for an article and a usage timer continually at the bottom of the screen even though it will acknowledge a subscription exists. The website works on the subscription but the app is a failure. Tech support is really non existent. Help messages were not replied to. Had to cancel. A disappointment. This publication deserves much better

I love The Nation and the fact that I can review old subscriptions. I hate that there isn't a way to quickly pull up an old subscription in the search box (at least it has not worked for me). Also, when I scroll up or down, ( because I read on my phone)the font gets blurry. Despite those minor flaws I love this app. It is easy to see and looks just like the magazine.
