About this game

Turn vocabulary practice into a fast, addictive card-matching game! Local Phrase helps you build everyday Chinese vocabulary through a classic memory-match format — flip cards, pair English words with their Chinese characters and pinyin, and race against the clock.

HOW TO PLAY

1. Tap PLAY on the home screen to jump to level select.
2. Choose any unlocked level — levels unlock sequentially as you win.
3. Tap a card to flip it. Flip two cards per turn.
4. If the English word and its Chinese character match, they stay revealed.
5. Clear all pairs before the timer hits zero to win the level.
6. Earn stars based on remaining time and coins based on stars + best combo.
7. Visit the Shop to spend coins on power-ups for tough levels.
