The McKellar Calculator combines three powerful calculators in one - a Life Expectancy Calculator, a Present Value Calculator, and a Court Award Inflation Calculator.
1. Life Expectancy Calculator - instantly determine the remaining life expectancy for the average Canadian of a given age and sex. You can also calculate the number of years a person is expected to live between a given age and the earlier of age 65 or death, with the option to carry results directly to the Present Value Calculators.
2. Present Value Calculator – calculate the present value of a future annual income stream that either starts immediately, or after a deferral period, using your chosen term and discount rate.
3. Court Award Inflation Calculator - determine the current value of a past Court award adjusted for inflation, using the most recent Consumer Price Index data available.
The Present Value Calculator includes a built-in option for the Ontario Discount Rate, preset discount rates between 1% and 5%, and the flexibility to enter your own custom rate between -10% and 10%.
