Welcome to Calculate Silverman, a tool designed to facilitate the assessment of the Silverman-Anderson score in newborns, using internationally standardized criteria. This application offers a practical, fast, and intuitive method for calculating the total score, for informational purposes.
Features
Intuitive parameter selection:
Evaluates the five components of the Silverman-Anderson test—Thoracoabdominal Movements, Xiphoid Retraction, Intercostal Indrawal, Nasal Flare, and Grunt—using selection buttons. Simply select the corresponding option in each category (0, 1, or 2 points per criterion).
Automatic Calculation:
As you select parameters, the app automatically calculates the total score (from 0 to 10) and displays its overall clinical interpretation:
0: No respiratory distress
1 to 3: Mild respiratory distress
4 to 6: Moderate respiratory distress
7 to 10: Severe respiratory distress
Quick Reset Button:
A button with a circular backward arrow icon, located next to the Calculate button, allows you to reset all values to their default state, facilitating multiple evaluations seamlessly and continuously.
Access to Additional Information:
In the upper right corner, next to the app title, you will find a button with an "i" icon inside a circle. This leads to an informational section that includes:
