Welcome to National PTI, a free public transport journey planning app for Great Britain. Plan from A to B throughout Great Britain across all operators and all modes with up to date data.

Data is updated at least once per week for all bus, coach, rail and ferry journeys in GB – up to daily updates for all rail services and buses across most of southern England. The app has been re-branded in May 2026 to replace the Traveline SW app, offering the same features:

* Providing comprehensive public transport journey planning since 2013
* Plan your journey from a map or by using the menu
* View next departures from any bus-stop, bus station or coach stop
* Real-time information is used wherever possible for rail and bus services
* See your bus location from journey plan results
* Active Travel planning with bike share and carbon saving information
* Plan to or from your location, postcode, address, street, point of interest, stop or station
* See details of known travel disruptions and travel updates to your routes
* Change settings to include or exclude transport modes, alter cycle or scooter use times and speeds, walk times and speeds and mobility settings.
* Results shown on schedules and maps, including how to reach stops and stations, also where to change services
* Choose earlier or later trips from results, up to first and last trips
* Keep a list of your favourite or regular trips, share journey details
* Details of day and weekly bus tickets included
* Light and dark modes available
* English, German and Ukrainian languages available

Ratings and reviews

This app seems to hallucinate journeys. A journey that takes almost 5 hours in real life shows up as 2 in the app. It totally screwed with my plans. Double check everything. Don't trust it. Or better yet, don't use it!

Often very misleading. It will tell you the bus is coming and coming and coming and....is gone, all while you wait at the stop! Why? (I think it happens when the bus is delayed en route and the app doesn't know this and guesses the ETA at your stop based on the time of departure from start. If you are prepared to ignore the information that you have missed it, you may find it will, eventually, arrive. Or not.) This fatally undermines the app's usefulness. Pity.

Used for the first time today. Awful app. Dreadful, complicated UI. App continues to force close, no routes displayed, no specific bus stop info displayed and maps wouldn't open. Uninstalling.

Re-branded National Public Transport Information (or National PTI for short) from Traveline SW. Same Great Britain-wide journey planning, departures, travel updates and active travel information for your public transport trips.
Real time data is used when available and data is updated up to daily. Choose travel updates for your own services and stops.
Bike and scooter sharing schemes are being added, with carbon savings are given for all journey results. Choose light or dark modes app style.
