Thanks to real-time information, you'll always be up-to-date, even with last-minute changes or disruptions. Even by car or bicycle, you can easily navigate using the Park & ​​Ride routes and cycling directions.

With the VGN eTariff egon, you only pay for what you actually travel – with a daily base fare, per-kilometer billing, and three revenue-based discount levels. Simply check in to start your journey and check out at the end.

Accessibility options are integrated into our timetable information. This helps you avoid common obstacles such as stairs or vehicles that are not wheelchair accessible. (Subject to vehicle information availability)

Data protection and permissions: The app only requires access to contacts for address selection. Your data remains secure and is used only for providing information. Access to photos, media, and files is used solely for storing map data. Bluetooth and "nearby devices" are used for improved location tracking underground during an egon ride.

Internet connection and location tracking: An internet connection is required for full functionality and ticket purchase. The location tracking feature assists in automatically selecting nearby stops and is used for location tracking during an egon ride.

Ratings and reviews

The App keeps logging me out at random times. Just today, there was a ticket control in my train. When I opened the app, the ticket menu said that my ticket was invalid and that I had to login again. Luckily, the controller gave me the four minutes i needed but he was ready to give me a ticket (70€) I used the app two days ago and it was working fine. I always make sure to click "remember me" when logging in but that seems to do absolutely nothing. everything else is fine

completely useless, half of the text is in german even when english is selected

Extremely slow and unreliable. Application crushes each time when I tap to pay. I cannot even remove or change the payment details, so I am highly concerned about apps data privacy and overal liabilty. There are ticket machines in each bigger sub station, better buy them there, still possible to pay by card.
