About this app

MTG CODEX™ is the all-in-one Magic: The Gathering companion for Commander (EDH) and every other format. Scan any card with your camera, build and grade your decks, find game-winning combos, and keep your whole collection organized in one place. Now with an all-new, redesigned interface.

INDUSTRY-CHANGING MULTI-DEVICE LIFETRACKER
Start a room, share the code, and everyone at the table tracks from their own phone, in sync. A life counter built for 2 to 6 players. Anyone can host a room.

SCAN CARDS INSTANTLY
Point your camera at any Magic card to identify it, pull up its details, rulings, and prices, and add it straight to your collection or deck. A true card scanner: no typing, no searching.

DECK DR.™ - YOUR DECK COACH
Most apps just show you data. DECK DR. tells you what to cut, what to add, and whether you already own the card, then makes the swap for you. Get a deck grade, a Commander Bracket, and a power level with clear reasoning behind every call.

BUILD SMARTER DECKS
A full deck builder: build a Commander deck from a single command, auto-fill to 100 cards around your commander, and compare your real deck against an optimized build to see exactly what you need.

FIND COMBOS
Search verified combos by card, by commander, or by what you want to do: infinite mana, infinite damage, tokens, and more. See the cards, the prerequisites, and the steps to pull it off.

TRACK YOUR COLLECTION
Import your collection and decks from ManaBox, Moxfield, Archidekt, and TopDecked, or a plain list or CSV file. Export your decks to play in Magic: The Gathering Arena. Browse as a grid or list, sort and search instantly, and see which cards you own and which are already in a deck.

MORE TOOLS FOR THE TABLE
A full card search that answers questions in plain language, a news feed for the latest Magic sets, and community deck builds to browse for ideas.

BUILT FOR EVERY MAGIC PLAYER
Whether you are tuning a cEDH list, brewing your first Commander deck, or organizing a shoebox of cards, MTG CODEX™ helps you scan, build, and play smarter. One app for every format.

Patent Pending.

Ratings and reviews

Scan a card and you actually get useful strategy on it, not just the price and the rules text every other app shows you. The multi-card analyze is the killer feature for me. Drop in 4-5 cards and it tells you how they actually fit into your deck strategy, what synergies are there, and what's missing. Tap any card mentioned in the breakdown and it pulls that one up too, so you can chase the strategy down a rabbit hole. Deck builder is solid. Built by people who play MTG.

the idea is good... howerver it has a few bugs... when camera is ready to scan sometimes it will Analyze cards that aren't there... and if i try to purchase pro mode it won't let me... not a totally uselles app... hopefully when bugs are sorted i'l give 5 stars... in the mean time only 2 from me... sorry

unable to scan cards and the option to give the app permission to access my devices camera isn't even available when I go to app permissions in my phones settings
