About this game

Info

Boss Borot is a giant, humanoid-shaped robot with a fat, comical appearance. He has a brown (or burgundy in some versions) body and flexible yellow hands and feet. His head is pink and small in the shape of a ball. He is distinguished from the other mecha in the series because he has comical facial expressions and gestures.

Boss Borot was built with old scrap and cheap materials and therefore is extremely weak and devoid of special attacks, can neither fly nor dive into water. Somehow, its pilot manages to overcome his odds and get the thing moving and fighting the giant enemy monsters. Most of his battles end with the robot's body being destroyed or his head being ripped off and thrown like a ball. It has the most ridiculous cockpit in history, which is a simple hollow space inside the Borot's head that Boss decorates as if it were his humble ranch and with an old truck steering wheel as the only method of control. It lacks minimal comforts like a pilot's seat or at least a measly windshield. Due to the ample space of his cabin, Boss almost always brings his inseparable comrades Nuke and Mucha on board.

Boss Borot originally appeared in episode 48 of the "Mazinger Z" anime, aired in 1973, and has since become a series regular. His role is that of the comic character who spends his time committing clumsiness and failing terribly in his fights, although this does not prevent Boss from trying again and again to make him surpass Mazinger Z. His popularity even made him appear in later series such as "Great Mazinger and "UFO Robo Grendizer". Since then, Boss Borot usually appears in each new Mazinger series as the protagonist robot's comedic sidekick alongside Sayaka Yumi's female robot Aphrodite A.

History

Boss had always rivaled Koji Kabuto and that was why he had become very jealous when he became a Mazinger Z pilot and became a hero. Boss devised a plan to have his own mecha fighter and along with the help of his friends Nuke and Mucha, they kidnapped the three doctors from the Photonics Research Center.

They agreed to make the robot, but did not have the materials to do so. Boss and his friends went out to search through the junk for any kind of metal they could find. Surprisingly, the doctors managed to fabricate a fully functional mecha which Boss named after himself. However, due to the precariousness of the materials, the Boss Borot ended up being extremely fragile, but Boss did not mind this and, feeling proud of his machine, he took it to battles to try to defeat the giant beasts and prove that he is better than mazinger z

Since then Boss Borot has been a mecha ally of Mazinger Z who appears regularly in battles against giant monsters. He usually ends up humiliatingly defeated, but on more than one occasion he has been of help to the protagonist mecha.
