Leave it running and Meerkly quietly uses a small slice of your device's internet connection to load public web pages for Meerkly's customers — the kind of routine page-fetching that powers price comparison, market research and SEO tools. Every page your device fetches successfully earns you credits.
You don't have to do anything. Sign in, leave Meerkly running, and it works in the background — even with the screen off.
WHAT MEERKLY ACTUALLY DOES
• Loads public web pages using your device's internet connection
• Sends the page content back to the customer who asked for it
• Credits your account for every page fetched successfully
• Runs as a background service so it keeps working while you use other apps
Meerkly only ever visits ordinary public web pages, the same ones you could open in any browser yourself.
WHAT IT DOES NOT DO
• It never reads your files, photos, messages or other apps' data
• It never touches your own browsing history, bookmarks or logins
• It uses its own private, isolated browser — completely separate from Chrome or any browser you use
• It doesn't show ads and it doesn't sell your personal information
YOU'RE ALWAYS IN CONTROL
Meerkly shows a permanent notification whenever it's running, so you always know. Tap Stop in that notification, or the Stop button in the app, and it shuts down immediately and stays off until you turn it back on — including after a restart.
DATA USE — PLEASE READ
Meerkly uses your internet connection to do its job. Fetching web pages consumes mobile data, so we strongly recommend running it on Wi-Fi. It also uses some battery while it's active, which is why it works best on a phone that's charging or one you no longer use day to day.
CREDITS
You earn credits for each page your device fetches successfully. Your balance is shown in the app and on your Meerkly account, and is tied to your account rather than a single device — so you can add more devices and they all contribute to the same balance.
