Why does this app require location permission to allow view search results in map view? if I denied it won't show it!!!! you want my location? huh?

Trying to enter the app but it does not work = giving me error and probably requires some wifi or whatever strong connection but I am missing a spot to play bball cos i m always on waiting list but when a spot opens i see the notification but cannot take the spot .. devs?

tried to sign up but the app clearly has errors as it fails and shows error on thr friends referral code option. sad seemed like a great idea.
