MeetPeople brings people together through what they love doing. Hiking, board games, coffee by the lake, a band rehearsal or a photo walk – find events near you, meet people with the same interests and make real plans. Free, and with your privacy switched on from the start.

• Browse events as a photo grid and filter by city, date, interests or distance around your location
• Join with one tap – or send a request when the host confirms participants personally
• Join anonymously when the host allows it: only the host sees your name
• Save events to your favorites and keep track of your past events
• Create your own event in a minute: photos, description, location, participant limit and tags

FIND YOUR HOBBY BUDDY
• Search for people by name and by shared interests
• Choose from more than 160 interests – from sports and music to cooking and the outdoors

PRIVACY BY DEFAULT
Everything is private until you decide otherwise:
• Choose who can see your profile: everyone, only people from your events, or nobody
• Share your photos, home town, interests and event history one by one
• Blur your profile pictures until you approve a request
• Ghost mode: visit profiles without leaving a trace
• Turn read receipts on or off
• Block or mute people at any time
• Report events, messages or profiles – every report is reviewed by a moderator

RELIABLE MEETUPS
Hosts can confirm who actually showed up. Your reliability rate appears on your profile once there is data, so everyone knows they can count on each other.

OPTIONAL DATING AREA
Looking for more than a hobby buddy? Switch on the separate dating area – it stays off unless you opt in, and only people who opted in can see you there. Like openly or secretly, match with each other and start chatting right away.
