About this app

Get a little smarter every time you scroll.

Loup turns real non-fiction books into short lessons and book insights you can learn while you scroll, a few minutes at a time. Free, no account, no subscription. Pick your topics, swipe up, and start scrolling.

HOW IT WORKS
Loup is a feed, not a library: no catalogue to dig through, just an endless scroll of lessons from books. Every card is a short lesson from a real book, written in our own words, with a bold hook, the insight, why it matters, and a line telling you exactly which chapter it came from: "Based on ch. 3 of Atomic Habits, James Clear."

Three kinds of cards keep the feed varied:
• Spark — one idea in 30-60 words, a 20-second read
• Lesson — a fuller idea in 150-250 words, about a minute
• Passage — a verbatim quote from a public-domain classic, like Marcus Aurelius, Seneca or Epictetus

Like a lesson and Loup switches into series mode: the feed follows that book's lessons in chapter order, with a progress strip showing how far you've read, until you finish it — usually about 40 minutes of scrolling, spread across as many sessions as you like. Skip twice to leave the book and go back to your regular feed. Every card also shows how many people liked it. Now and then a wild card turns up too, face down, from a shelf you didn't pick — tap to turn it over.

SEVEN TOPICS, DOZENS OF BOOKS TO LEARN FROM
Psychology, Philosophy and Stoicism, Money, Productivity, Mental health, Health & Longevity and Communication & Conflict — pick any mix of non-fiction topics in Settings. Psychology brings you Atomic Habits, Thinking Fast and Slow and Man's Search for Meaning. Philosophy and Stoicism brings Meditations, Seneca's Letters and The Daily Stoic. Money brings The Psychology of Money and Rich Dad Poor Dad. Productivity brings Deep Work and Digital Minimalism. Mental health brings Dopamine Nation and The Body Keeps the Score. Health & Longevity brings Lifespan and Spark. Communication & Conflict brings Nonviolent Communication and Difficult Conversations. New lessons are added every week, and new topics don't need an app update — a daily learning habit that keeps growing, one insight at a time.

DAILY GAMES IN YOUR FEED
Three quick games turn up between the lessons. Today's word: one five-letter word a day, shared with every reader in your language, six tries to guess it, with a hint if you get stuck. Quick sort: ten short lines from two of your topics, swipe each one toward the topic it came from. Shootout: the hook from a lesson you've already read, and three headings to pick from — a wrong guess costs nothing, and the lesson opens either way. Each one can be turned off in Feed options.

YOUR SHELF
Your Profile opens on a shelf holding every book you've read from. The gold on each spine rises as you read, and Loup counts the days in a row you meet your daily goal — on the card and on your month chart. Miss a day and the streak breaks; meet the goal again and you can earn it back.

If you want a nudge to keep learning daily, turn on an optional daily reminder in Profile — off by default, and only offered after you like your first card.

FREE, NO ACCOUNT, NO CATCH
Loup signs you in anonymously the first time you open it. No email, no name, no phone number, no account to create. The app is free, funded by a small, clearly labelled "Sponsored" card roughly every six cards in the feed — never inside a book you're following. No subscription, no in-app purchase at launch. A local reserve of lessons keeps the feed going even when you're offline. Just scroll and learn, every day.

When a lesson leads you back to the book, tap "Get the book" to find it at an online bookshop. Loup names these books as the source of its lessons — the app is not affiliated with or endorsed by their authors or publishers.
