Melita FSM is the field service app for engineers and subcontractors working on Melita installation and merchandising projects.
Access is by invitation only. Melita issues your account before you use the app. You cannot register yourself, and the app has no function without an account issued to you.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
- See the jobs you have been offered, with the store, the project, the stand type, the agreed rate and the expected time on site
- Accept or decline work, and propose a different rate where you need to
- Set the date you plan to visit, and reschedule when plans change
- See the store address and open it in your maps app for directions
- Read the RAMS, site instructions and planograms before you travel
- Check in when you arrive on site
- Work through the job's questionnaire, which shows only the questions that apply to that store and that stand
- Take photographs and short videos as the record of the completed work
- Report a job you cannot complete, and record the reason
- Submit the job for review when you have finished
- Look back over the work you have completed
WORKS WHERE THE SIGNAL DOES NOT
Stockrooms, back corridors and out-of-town retail parks are not known for mobile coverage. Your answers and photographs are saved on the device as you go and uploaded when a connection returns, so you can complete a job with no signal at all.
LOCATION IS OPTIONAL
The app can record where you were when you checked in, which confirms the visit for the client. You are asked before it is used, you may decline, and you can change your mind at any time in the app's settings. The app works fully without it. Your location is never recorded between jobs or in the background.
NOTIFICATIONS
You are told when new work is offered to you, when a job you are holding is updated, and as a reminder if a job you committed to today is still open.
