CATESOL is an association of professionals advancing the quality of English language teaching and learning through professional development, research, standards, and advocacy. CATESOL's vision is to be the trusted authority for knowledge and expertise in English language teaching and learning. CATESOL, founded in 1969, is a nonprofit organization open to anyone concerned with the teaching of English as a second or foreign language, standard English as a second dialect, or bilingual education. CATESOL is the largest TESOL Affiliate in the USA. We are over 3,000 members strong. We support 5 academic levels (K-12, Adult Education, Community College, College/University, Intensive English Program), 13 Interest Groups (IGs), and 10 regional chapters.
